Depicted is a man and woman embracing while being encircled by a gust of wind or smoke patterned after the Echo and Narcissus myth.

There is a clear and satin mixed finish on the medial intersection on all sides of the box. There is no damage to the design, the jewelry box has cosmetic damage on the rim (see photos) where the lid meets the jar, it is not noticeable when the lid is on the box.
