This rare piece was an advertising gift for the Coates & Co. Gin company. We've seen several that are in white with black letters, but never one in the brass color. The piece is square and has rounded edges. Each side of the dish has a different raised word which includes, Plymouth, Gin, Coates & Co.'s, and Original. There are no maker marks on the bottom of the piece. This would be a great piece to add to a tobacco collection, to use on a side table or nightstand as a trinket dish, or even to add to your current barware. The piece does show signs of wear including patina, dents, and light scratching.
