Oaxaca, Mexico, second half of the 20th century, the hand carved and painted wood alebrije animal figure depicting a fantastical stylized Jaguar, modeled in unique position, with single arm, head and tail raised, exposed sabertooth tiger fangs, bold colorful contrasting polychrome paint pigments, having reddish orange body with black stripes, royal blue ears and light blue claws, yellow eyes, pink mouth ajar, and white accents, artist signed under rear feet.

The Jimenez Familys work can be found in public and private collections, educational institutions, and numerous museums, in various parts of the world, especially in the United States.
