"colorín is a lamp that was dreamed rather than designed. At the time, i was designing wooden toys (construction toys, vehicles) for small children, using turned wood painted in basic colors and assembled with simple systems such as rods, dowels\.," explains designer eduardo albors. "i suppose i imagined this lamp in my dreams through what they call 'professional deformation'. I got up and i drew it exactly as the final result would be. Colorín colorado is a table lamp created by eduardo albors gisbert in 1979 and produced by valencian lighting firm lamsar. At that time the memphis group in italy was being developed by ettore sottsass. This design is a nod to these developments. Consisting of simple geometric shapes assembled and lacquered in primary colors, this lamp, as makes perfect sense after its inventor's explanation, is reminiscent of wooden construction toys. A playful eye-catcher in your interior, this memphis style lamp! the lamp is fully made of wood, except the lampshade is made of metal. This memphis-style lamp is in good condition. Note: the hood is adjustable but is meant to be as it is in the photos. Due to the weight of the shade, it will not stay in some other positions. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
