Introducing Raven, a one-of-a-kind table lamp, lovingly handcrafted from a vintage Royal Tichelaar Makkum vase, which was made and hand-painted between 1948 and 1979. Expertly transformed into a lamp, this piece beautifully balances historical craftsmanship with modern functionality. The vase is decorated in the Delft Polychrome style, featuring an unusual and striking black background—a rare element in traditional Delftware—accented by vibrant colors of green, yellow, blue, and russet.
The hexagonal-shaped base is adorned with six elongated cartouches, each framed by Delft-style Chinoiserie ornaments. These cartouches alternate between intricate bird-and-flower motifs and delicate floral garden scenes, giving the lamp an elegant and harmonious aesthetic. The vase also features smaller, round cartouches on the upper and lower sections, adding to the intricate detailing.
Topped with a luxurious deep gold velvet lampshade, handmade in an Amsterdam atelier, Raven exudes warmth and sophistication. The contrast between the bold black background and the rich gold shade creates a visually captivating centerpiece, perfect for any living room or bedroom.
