This vintage 2x3 Dhurrie flat weave is an exciting new entry in Rug & Kilim’s esteemed collection. Handwoven in cotton, it originates from India circa 1950-1960.
On the Design:
This flat weave prefers medallions and geometric patterns in blue, cream and beige-brown tones in the field and the border, on a blue background. Admirers of the craft will note the particularly bright, fresh hues this piece enjoys, even compared to other mid-century flatweaves of its provenance.
