Denmark, ca. 1950s. A stunning Model RY20 sideboard by Hans Wegner for Ry Møbler. Features teak construction with contrasting birch interiors. Lower portion consists of six wide drawers ideal for holding linens and serving items - each finished with two sculptural rectangular pulls. Top right drawer contains original green felt lining making it the perfect spot to safely store cutlery or silverware. Sliding doors of upper section open to reveal sturdy adjustable shelves. Clever integrated vertical supports demonstrate Wegner’s thoughtful approach to design.
While originally a dining room piece, we think this cabinet would become the workhorse of any home office - elegantly holding papers, supplies, etc. Easily breaks down in four parts for moving / installation. Professionally refurbished, the condition is excellent.
