Description: Victorian Terracotta Tobacco Jar 1865. There is a mark in script on the bottom that I can’t make out. The … more Victorian Terracotta Tobacco Jar 1865. There is a mark in script on the bottom that I can’t make out. The jar is complete with the lid and the clamp. There is an incised 2 in the manner of Wedgwood on the bottom. There is a neoclassical scene on the outside of the jar which makes it very special with a Greek key design above. This is a very heavy, well made item that has good patina. There are a few chips on the top of the lid that are hard to see and don’t make much difference because the lid is so thick and heavy. Great gift for a man. less
