Hello!
I'm Edie Macias, Author of this work of art and owner of " Miami Vintage Decor" I find this part of my life the perfect compliment to my job as a purveyor of fine vintage and antique art and furniture.

This mixed-media wall sculpture blends plaster and nails to explore the tension between softness and rigidity. The white plaster surface, shaped into a smooth circular recess, contrasts sharply with the dense cluster of nails emerging from the center. The nails, with their rusted industrial finish, evoke themes of repetition, constraint, and entropy, disrupting the otherwise serene and minimal backdrop.

The piece invites viewers to reflect on how contrasting materials coexist—suggesting a metaphor for the relationship between control and unpredictability, or harmony and discord. The black border framing the composition gives it a striking, contained presence, making it feel like both a work of art and a portal to deeper introspection.

I have lovingly worked into this piece , adding organic texture and materials, using artistic plaster and nails.

The surface is intentionally left with organic rough textures and small indentations, hinting at the artistic process and the material’s raw nature

The piece is mounted on a black painted wooden frame with a hanging wire on the back.
