The flat side was held against the body while one arm reached across for the handle on the opposite side. The free hand could then gather crops and place them in the basket while walking. Now an amazing display piece or a place for gathering throws, towels, toys, firewood, or your favorite treasures.

The basket measures 33 x 19 x 14 inches tall. The basket only without the pole extensions measures 27 inches across.
