This captain's chair was created … Read more Here's a wonderful example of hand crafted woodworking from the mid to late 19th Century. This captain's chair was created using hand tools. Seat and back are hand chamfered. The wear adds to its rustic appeal. Stretchers on front bottom are worn from years of being used as foot braces. The wood appears to be elm. The perfect accent chair next to a fireplace or as a stand alone gallery piece. See less
