A beautiful gold and white porcelain demitasse coffee, espresso, or tea cup and saucer set, circa 19th century, England, Europe. Piece is imprinted with golden garlands on the saucer and cup. Cup is a 1/2 size cup to traditional cups (aka demitasse): great for a half-cup of tea, coffee, double shot espresso, etc. A rare antique set made by Mintons expressly for J.E. Caldwell & Co., Philadelphia. With markers' marks "Caldwell & Co" and "Mintons" on underside of both pieces. Piece would make a nice gift.
