The table is unmarked but attributed to the Castro Convertible Furniture Company which produced convertible furniture of this type during the midcentury period until the 1990’s. As seen in the the pictures the table can be used in the lowered position as a cocktail/coffee table. In the raised position it doubles as a dining table of 36” in diameter able to comfortably accommodate four people. The mechanism to raise and lower the table is in excellent condition and works easily. The table is raised by releasing a lever on the underside while pressing down on the table top with both hands and then allowing it to rise while the top turns counter clockwise. The procedure is reversed to lower the table back down, turning the top while pressing down on it until the catch engages. The tables height is 18” in the lowered position and 27”
