This fierce Muskie or Muskellunge was caught just after World War II at Lake Lottawana in Missouri, which means this trophy fish is in the vicinity of 70+ years old. Anecdotal information from a family member who recalls this tidbit of family history of her favorite Great Uncle who had just returned from WWII.
Although parts of the muskie are in rough shape, it nevertheless retains much of its intense Apex Predator qualities! Muskies have been known to attack and bite a swimmer, although rarely.
Almost all the tips of its fins and tail have broken or been knocked off and the muskie has some remaining dust in a few crevices.
