Historiated decoration with a mythological subject: 'The rape of Proserpina', the lake of Pergusa is also depicted where, according to Greek mythology, Pluto kidnapped Proserpina in the presence of her mother Ceres. Also depicted there is the chariot with which Pluto took Proserpina to the underworld as his bride. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
