- Very rare set of 4 antique French pressed flowers with hand colored original mattes. Two of the frames are just … more Very rare set of 4 antique French pressed flowers with hand colored original mattes. Two of the frames are just slightly smaller in size but the frames are identical. Each one is unique and pencil signed by the artist. Each one features a variety of specimens in a truly artistic manner. These are from the mid to late 19th century in original frames and mattes. Mattes are hand colored and gilded in a pale green with a double gilt border. Sourced in France. 2 of the frames are 11.5” wide and 16” tall and 2 are 12.5” wide and 16.25” tall. less
