Description: Rare and superb pair of solid and imposing candlesticks, vintage 40s-50s, wrought iron, magnificent, 4 lights, cups with candle sticks. … more Rare and superb pair of solid and imposing candlesticks, vintage 40s-50s, wrought iron, magnificent, 4 lights, cups with candle sticks. Bases composed of 4 arched feet, body in square rods decorated with 4 flat curved rods, topped with 4 flat rods curved inwards, each holding a slightly hollow round cup with a spade in its center. Very beautiful artisanal ironwork, no signature detected, dark steel-colored silver metal, patinated by time. Very massive objects in a brutalist or medieval style, they will sit majestically on a monastery table or a solid console. Pieces of very good quality, very decorative and very unusual. Imposing with their 31cm total height and 33.5cm max diameter. They are in very good condition for their age, but nevertheless have some defects, notably some traces of oxidation, on the feet and cups, quite discreet, and on one cup, quite visible but harmonious, in their juices. The spades have discreet scratches. The cups are also more or less unstable (except 3) and one can be removed, plan for possible repairs. Between approximately 4 and 5kg each. The cups are not stable, but hold. Possible repairs to be planned at this level. less
