Antique very large 263 cm high baroque oak grandfather clock from the 18th century with special striking mechanism
The grandfather clock has a tall, rectangular casing made of solid wood, which has a warm, natural look. The wood appears to be in good condition and has a slightly reddish to brown color that is typical of antique clocks.
The upper part of the case, which houses the dial, is curved.
The dial is elaborately decorated with floral metal decorations.
The clockwork has a thread suspension and is made of brass and iron.
The percussion mechanism has failed. The clock has two bells but only one hammer. The hammer hits the 1/4 1/2 3/4 1/1 on the small bell. When the hour strikes the hammer goes to the right and strikes the number of hours on the large bell. less
