In 1930, Hugo Peters laid the foundation for the success story that continues to this day and opened his own upholstery studio in Zurich. In 1952, his son Hugo Peters Junior took over the business and surprised the somewhat dusty furnishing world of the time with many new ideas. Among other things, he designed the sofa/daybed "HP58" in 1958, which is still successfully built and sold today. The simple and elegant sofa can be transformed into a comfortable bed with just one movement. The backrest is folded down and thus increases the lying surface. An upholstery studio in Zurich made two completely new spring cushions for the bench and backrest and freshly covered them with a black Kvadrat Hallingdal cover fabric, color 0190. The fabric was originally designed in 1965 by the Danish designer Nanna Ditzel (1923 - 2005). The comfortable cover is made of 70% wool and has an unusually high degree of abrasion at 100,000 Martindale. The solid wood frame was refurbished and freshly varnished by a professional restorer. The “HP58” sofa is in almost new condition. There are no signs of use to be found. Length 190cm. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs,
designer records,
or other literature sources and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising
