As the title suggests, the painter took inspiration for this piece from American artist Julian Hoeber's work on colours and shapes.

The artist employs a unique and distinct method that involves fragmenting the act of painting: he paints with brushstrokes, line after line, square after square. To produce the colour gradation that gives the desired illusion of light, each line has a slight shade change. It takes weeks or months to finish this repetitive process, which calls for extreme patience and attention to detail. Although the creative process is always planned and deliberate, errors and experimentation can lead to unexpected results.
