The platinum contours of a dressage horse and the sway of his ice white tail glittering with nonchalance. Traditional but modern. A graphic contrast of theme, line and colour, part of the Equestrian Style & Sport collection.
The inspiration for this work came from a jigsaw. I look at shape and colour, then detail when looking at a puzzle. And the creation of my work is similar. I thought about how different people approach solving a puzzle and how they think actually fascinates me.
'Cherry Bomb' is based on the concepts of perception and choice. The photograph, cropped to a narrow format in monochrome reflects the cognitive thought process of some people, simply put - in black and white. Whilst others, choose to look further and see the softer grey areas in between.
But the world is more than perceiving things in black, white and some grey areas - there are those who choose to step outside of a narrow box. Abstract thought, creative, rebel, eccentric or visionary, call it what you will - people who are driven by their passion and challenge the norm in whatever sphere they are in. Strong enough to speak their truth, stand by their views and make a difference. Only one colour has the electricity and sheer attitude to capture them without words.
Artwork Details:
All of Amrita's works are produced by a specialist fine art printer in London. The works are giclée printed to exhibition standards on museum grade Hahnemühle fine art cotton paper 310gsm, using archival pigment inks.
Each piece is hand signed and numbered on the front with a minimum of a one inch border.
A Certificate of Authenticity will be placed with the artwork in the shipment. The document will contain details of the work for the collector's reference.
