This is an antique bi-fold decorative screen. An English, walnut and silk two panel divider, dating to the Victorian period, circa 1850.
Delightful early Victorian craftsmanship with a charming appearance
Displaying a desirable aged patina, lightly timeworn commensurate with age
Select walnut stocks to the frame with turned finials and leg motif
Deep russet hues and fine grain interest accentuate the frame
Folding upon the centre axis and adjustable through 180 degrees
Scenes of birds amongst foliage adorn the front panels
The reverse dressed in deep plum coloured silk cotton
