Stevie Van Zandt
The long-awaited, much-anticipated HBO documentary, "Stevie Van Zandt: Disciple,” premiered on HBO and, once again, I’m honored to have one of my rarely seen images of Steve featured included.
But now thanks to producer Bill Teck, the immense depth and breadth behind the man, Steve Van Zandt, comes to the big screen and what a story his life tells.
From film Director Bill Teck, “Jim, we had the shot placed in the timeline in our very first cut back in 2019 and as the edit became finalized I knew we could not replace this one. It’s so perfectly encapsulate’s so many different aspects of Stevie – but that’s what you’re beautiful work does, it both captures and elevates the subjects. I can’t thank you enough for sharing this beautiful image with us for our doc - I’m-indebted and grateful. Thank you sir!”
Each photograph sold is personally signed by Rock Photographer James Shive.
Giclee Prints: Derived from a French word, Giclee (pronounced zhee-klay) printing connotes an elevation in printmaking technology. Images are generated from high resolution digital scans and printed with archival quality inks onto various materials including canvas and, in this case, photo-base paper.
The Giclee printing process provides better color accuracy than most other means of reproduction and its archival quality ensures that prints are light fast and non-water soluble.
Archived files will not deteriorate in quality, as negatives and film are likely to do. Another tremendous advantage of Giclee printing is that digital images can be reproduced to almost any size and onto various media, giving the Artist the ability to customize prints for a specific client.
In fact, the superior quality of a Giclee print rivals traditional printing processes and is commonly found in today’s museums, art and photographic galleries and collections, including the Shive Archive. Giclee prints are perfect for matting & framing.
All prints are custom ordered and may take as long as 3 weeks for printing. All sales are final, in the event of damage to prints during shipping, all orders are insured and will be replaced with proper documentation.
