The top … more Here is a gorgeous, statement Demi-lune chest of drawers/cabinet featuring carved wood columns and burled wood drawer fronts. The top of the piece has a beautiful sunburst pattern and inlay wood design at the rear of sea shells. The front has 4 ample drawers, while each side boasts a top drawer and closed storage cabinet. I love the shape of the two smaller top drawers, as they mimic the curve of the piece. Another very special design element is the unique and detailed hardware. The drawers pulls look like urns and have swing pulls. The side doors have skeleton key openings, but unfortunately the original keys are missing. This piece is expertly made - it is very solid and heavy. I believe it is Italian based on the paper on the back. There is no maker's mark. less
