The name comes from the presence of white telephones in the sequences of some films produced in this period, symptomatic of social well-being: a status symbol designed to mark the difference from the black telephones, more widespread.
They are characters who move within a rich environment and often influenced by foreign fashions. A meeting between a boy and a girl from different social classes, with a happy ending that sanctions the social climb.
