Remondini Architectural Views Bassano circa 1770. Series of four copper engravings, colored vintage. The optical views published by Remondini fully represent the popular Italian press: simple in line, colored with a few shades in a rapid and decisive manner, they fascinate with their immediacy and have been the subject of numerous exhibitions, collections and studies in recent years. The views were prepared to be inserted into the New World, where the common people could see them illuminated and thus learn about the cities of the world.
In detail they depict the Quirinale palace in Rome, the Viceroy's palace in Naples, the Arsenale palace in Berlin and finally the façade of the Piazza Grande in Parma.
The Remondinis were a family of printers operating in Bassano, giving rise to one of the most important copperplate engravings in Europe, reaching its greatest splendor in the second half of the eighteenth century; it closed its doors in 1861.
The engravings are presented in old frames with gilded profiles; They are in good condition, trimmed at the edges. This piece has an attribution mark,
