Each back splat … more An elegant, painted Italian settee, the back open and slightly "en goldole" as it leaves the arms. Each back splat with a caduceus centered on a palmette on the top rail. The settee arms are open and the arm supports are finely carved in the form of a gilded sea creature, with the arms ending in a lion mask. The front legs are straight, turned and tapered and sheathed with water leaves, the back legs splayed. less
