It is darker brown on lighter brown. Inside the flap is a black melamine. The original note pad is still intact and aged from time. This shows the authenticity of the time period. One can put any other notepad in there. We have photographed it both ways. There may be a size difference in the newer pads. We have contacted Gucci in NYC for the same pad, but they no longer make them. What a great desk accessory for a man or woman. From the 70's. less
