19th C. Italian mirror with a highly ornate and elaborate frame, characteristic of the Rococo style. The frame is gilded and featured extensive carvings with a rich floral motif. The top of the mirror showcases a central crest adorned with floral clusters, scrolling leaves, and intricate detailing, giving it an opulent and grand appearance.
The sides of the mirror are adorned with carved acanthus leaves, floral arrangements, and scrollwork that flow into the curved corners. At the bottom, these is a shell-like detail, further enhancing the Classical and decorative design elements. The mirror has an aged appearance suggesting it is original to the frame. less
