Authentic antique Victorian seashell art pair dating from the late 19th century that was probably made as a souvenir from a seaside resort.
The two conch shells are real and have been hand-carved in the openings. Each has a hand-made display featuring a bisque figurine of a little girl holding a lamb and a little boy saluting in a sailor suit nestled among smaller shells. The colors are soft pastel and the bottoms have been carved flat to stand upright.
Each shell stands approximately 6" tall by 5" in diameter, and each weighs a little over 1 lb.
A wonderful and rare turn of the century souvenir for your nautical collection or eclectic decor.
