This piece is believed to be produced in the 1960's, most likely in Afghanistan. It is an oriental rug with distinct geometric patterns, tribal ornaments complemented with a decorative border. This specific design’s history goes back centuries and the craftsmanship required to create this rug is extremely skilled.
This rug is made of wool and has a rich striking colours that compliments the individual motives and forms. There are white tassels on the two shorter sides.
Traditionally this type of rug was used in dining or living rooms.
This piece is in good vintage condition. There are no holes, cracks or other damages on the rug. There as some parts of the tassels that have some red colour stains.
