About the artist: Amanda Andersen has been working for over 10 years as a professional artist; working mostly in acrylic paint on canvas, she makes minimal compositions with sprinklings of high contrast patterns and color. Using minimalist strategies, she pedals between the abstract and figurative. Inspired by the rigid lines of Agnes Martin and organic forms of Eva Hesse, she also adores fantasy films, surrealism, brutalist architecture and a really smooth gradient.
