This lovely pair of fully restored vintage Grosfeld House Regency style side chairs have an unusual beaded wood detail, that … more This lovely pair of fully restored vintage Grosfeld House Regency style side chairs have an unusual beaded wood detail, that is pierced carvings to the apron of the front of the chairs. The saber splayed legs add a sheer elegance. The wood was once ebonized around 14 years ago. They have been re-upholstered in a cream and off white silk and linen leopard print. The sculptural open back of the chairs lends itself to the beauty of the fabric and curvature of the wood. No better than Grosfeld House that has a Hollywood Regency look. They are from the 40's. These were once restored many many years ago. and will not be restored again. On one of the chairs the wood frame may not be as sturdy as the other one as it may wobble just a slight touch. The fabric is amazing. The width of the seat is wider towards the front and tapers less towards the back. These are a fabulous pair of side chairs.
