Signed on the bottom as such. It is mid century modern. The machine spinning torch color bronze work creates a swirling effect that looks like abalone. This technique is very special, tricky and complicated. It cannot be done today in this manner or world as it is most difficult to do and very few skilled people would even know the process. The scale is impressive, and the greek key torched bronze design is so fantastic. This is a rare special lamp not seen on the market today. It may have the original milk glass carrier that a shade with special fittings goes over this glass. if it can be found. Does not come with the shade. This will look great with a custom shade! It is piece de resistant of a rare and very amazing sophisticated lamp. It is Italian through and through with its beautiful workmanship.
