Titled on the spine - Bills Paid - Lee National Bank. The ledger contains over 500 pages. The first half of the book is detailed ledger records in hand script from the 1940's; the second half is blank. Measures 14 1/4" x 9 7/8" x 2 1/2". The volume is heavily tooled leather in a neoclassical pattern with ribbed spine and gilt titles. The book was made by the William Mann Company of Philadelphia.

The William Mann Company did business as stationers, blank book manufacturers, lithographers, and printers both in Philadelphia and in New York. Good condition - wear from daily use and age. This highly decorative volume suggests high status and would have created an atmosphere of stability and soundness for the bank's customers. less
