John Patterson is an American, Hudson River artist who was born into a family of painters in the 1950s. Howard Ashman Patterson, his grandfather and Michael Patterson, his brother. His mother, a painter as well. This is an original oil on canvas depicting the marshlands of the Hudson Valley in New York, the Peekskill area.
The painting is in a gilt wood frame and signed John Patterson 1980 on the back. In excellent condition with some tarnish to the frame but no damage or repairs to the painting.
