Description: Early Biedermeier Roll-Top or Cylinder Secretaire from South Germany around 1820.

Thick cherry veneer on softwood and cherry solid wood body.

Wonderful Ink painting in the center of the roll door and original conservational restored black circles around the original brass fittings and edges.

Ebonized trims and railing on top.

Below are two drawers with wonderful original brass fittings depicting fine heads.

Inside the lower drawer is the original large double locking iron box lock, locking for both drawers. Pull-out writing tablet covered with black genuine leather (added later). Pull out tray later replaced.

Greatly restored, hand-polished with shellac (French polish).
