This set is stunning example of period candlesticks where Anchor Hocking Designers could showcase their flair. The design is elegant in its simplicity. Architectural in style, three arms with a herringbone pattern hold a bell shaped candle holder set on a diamond prism base. Designed to reflect shimmery candlelight that makes any dinner setting special.

Anchor Hocking was in 1929 the largest producer of what is known now as "Depression Glass and still survives today. The company started when Isaac J. Collins and size enterprising friends purchased Lancaster Carbon in Lancaster Ohio and named after the Hocking River that ran past the first manufacturing plant. Although faced with initial financial setbacks, the company persevered. This persistence was evidenced during the Great Depression. As many glass companies failed, Anchor Hocking continued to raise production rates through innovation allowing them to sell tumblers "two for a nickel." less
