A very personal language is presented in the expressivity and material relation of her artworks. The textures, the composition of the draw, the balance and chromatic representation come from a consistent knowledge and fabrics combination in painting, signalled by fragments of the day-to-day clothes and sewing lines which rescue the trace physicality. This work is inspired by the Divine Comedy and depict some passages from hell.

Alexandra De Pinho is a Portuguese artist who works with a variety of techniques and materials. She is a graduate of three Academies of Fine Arts: Barcelona, Pontevedra and Porto. Since 1998, she has been exhibiting internationally in group and solo exhibitions gaining awards and recognition. Recent exhibitions include "O elogio a carta/Poeticas da conetividade" at the Julio Dinis Museum in Portugal. less
