Rare Mottahedeh "Lowestoft" centerpiece bowl. Made of glazed porcelain with a slightly blue ground with russet trim, cobalt highlights, and profuse gilt trim and embellishments. Central Neoclassical covered urn with flora design.
A reproduction of an 18th Century design by Lowestoft Porcelain Factory (England, 1757-1802). Produced circa 1950 by Mottahedeh & Co. Stamped to bases LOWESTOFT REPRODUCTION CREATED BY MOTTAHEDEH with additional manufacturer decal.
