Gold leaf French Picture Frame Louis XIV Regency Style by RG Les Cadres Gault. This company was started by Emile Gault in Paris in 1936. Famous clients were Picasso, Chagall and Dali, among others. They are located on Rue du Faubourg St. Honore, Paris, France. They also have a location in Geneva. There is no mark or label on the frame. The client's daughter gave me information on the paper shown in the above pictures. I do not have the exact date when this frame was purchased, probably in the last 50 years. A very similar frame can be seen on their website.
The exterior measurement is 22.25" by 25.5". The interior measurement is 14.5" by 17.5".
