A beautiful work of art by this sought after listed artist. Impressive French buildings dominate the street scene, with Sacre Coeur basilica in the distance, figures, restaurants and stalls in the foreground of this sunny and vibrant work of art.
Presented in a carved wooden frame. Signed by the artist lower left.

Caroline C. Burnett (1877-1950) was a British-American artist known primarily for her Impressionist paintings of Paris street scenes. Burnett's work and painting style show the movement towards contemporary painting in Paris during her years there.
She was a member of the Societe des Beaux-Arts in Paris and exhibited with the Societe Nationale des Beaux Arts in Paris in 1898. This society was founded in the 1880s as a rival to the well-established group sponsoring the 'oficial' Salon.
