Very nice looking and versatile antique secretary cabinet with a nice roll-top, and some terrific detail throughout....constructed of solid oak … more Very nice looking and versatile antique secretary cabinet with a nice roll-top, and some terrific detail throughout....constructed of solid oak in a golden finish, this is a beautifully designed piece---the upper portion consists of an attractive display cabinet with three adjustable shelves, behind a pair of glass paneled doors....the lower portion features the aforementioned roll-top, with a great semi-round drawer resting just below the desk surface---additionally, beneath that you'll find a pair of drawers stacked on the left side, and a cabinet on the right....the lower two drawers and cabinet also have some very nice decoration on the drawer and door faces....a terrific piece, and in really nice shape overall....there is some minor wear to the wood in some areas, as you'd expect with a piece of this age, but the drawers/doors/cabinets function really well....I'm guessing the piece has been refinished at some point in its life because the exterior finish is in really good shape for a 100 year old piece....the interior of the roll-top and cabinets/drawers have not been refinished, and show their age in spots, but I'd still grade them favorably overall....really a great looking antique piece that'd be a fantastic addition to any space.. less
