Description: Jean B. Roll (1921-2015) was a Swiss painter born in Geneva. He studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Geneva … more Jean B. Roll (1921-2015) was a Swiss painter born in Geneva. He studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Geneva from 1937 to 1941 and later became a professor at the School of Decorative Arts. His artistic career extended beyond painting, encompassing theater set design, mosaics, and stained glass. Jean Roll exhibited extensively in Switzerland, France, Italy, Germany, and the U.S. He was known for his expressionist style, often exploring emotional depth through his works. In 1973, he spent a year at the Swiss Institute in Rome, further enriching his artistic perspective. His work continues to be auctioned, with notable pieces such as "3 Personnages" and "Mélodie en rose" Artwork sold with frame (63 x 76cm). This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker.
