Charles Clos Olsommer (1883-1966) was a French-born Swiss painter known for his symbolic and allegorical works, often with religious themes. He also painted landscapes, portraits, and still lifes. Olsommer studied art in various prestigious institutions, including the École d'Art in La Chaux-de-Fonds and the École des Beaux-Arts in Geneva, and traveled through Italy, France, and Eastern Europe to expand his artistic perspective. His style combines elements from the Italian early Renaissance with the aesthetics of Art Nouveau, characterized by an emphasis on line and form. Artwork sold with frame (41.5 x 40cm). This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
