This striking Mid-Century Chalkware Table Lamp draws inspiration from the acclaimed Royal Dux figurines and capture a tender scene of village life: a young man and woman gathering water from a well. The sculptures alone stand at an impressive 21 inches, and are a captivating work of art.
The young man is adorned in a cerulean blue hat that covers his tousled brown hair. His matching shirt, with rolled-up sleeves that hint at his casual demeanor, beautifully contrasts with his rich copper-red trousers and understated brown shoes. Leaning against the rustic water fountain, he strikes a relaxed pose—his right leg bent casually on the rocks below while his forearm rests on the weathered wooden bucket he’s poised to fill.
His face is turned slightly to the left, an expression of contemplation graces his features as he gazes at the young woman. In his right hand, he holds a delicate red rose, a gesture that adds a touch of romance to the scene.
The girl complements him perfectly in her attire. A copper-hued headscarf frames her lovely face, gently tucking away her flowing blonde waves. She wears a short-sleeved blue blouse that mirrors his and a long, flowing red skirt that dances above her bare feet. Her left forearm rests on the fountain's edge, balancing gracefully as she holds a red rose in her left hand, completely absorbed in the task at hand.
Her left leg is slightly bent, her bare foot resting on a higher rock as she reaches for the pottery pitcher she just filled, blissfully unaware of the boy's gaze.
The vibrant colors and intricate details of this lamp make it a versatile addition to various interior design styles, effortlessly enhancing the warmth and charm of any space it graces. less
