A wonderful antique Bakhtiar rug, woven circa 1910. The design features five large floral motifs interspersed with large palmettes and flower heads on an unusual pink field framed by a red border. Beautiful secondary colours including blues, greens and golds and a highly decorative and unusual rug.
Size: 2.08m x 1.45m (6ft 10in x 4ft 9in). Slightly wider at the bottom of the rug (1.52m, 5ft).
This rug is in good condition with light, age related wear, slightly heavier in the centre of the rug (see photos). Fringes and selvedges are secure and it has been professionally cleaned. less
