Pair of Burmese hand carved wood figural statues in detailed traditional costumes holding a metal gong with a raised center. A man and a woman are attached to an octagonal oak base. The gong is on a pole that is resting on their shoulders. Their arms are movable. They are each holding a newly made wood mallet with a soft burlap head to produce a rich, pleasant sound.
