The chest features a lovely solid wood construction with bun feet and hand-made dovetail construction. I love the natural color of this piece - it's not a yellowy pine, more of a bleached color. It appears that the hinges are not original. Inside, the piece is clean and has a small lidded cabinet on the top left side. The lid has a small separation on the top and opens/closes nicely. It does not stay open on its own. less
