A beautiful example of Santa Clara pottery by the well known and noted artist Nicolasa Naranjo. This pieca features avanyu serpents and stands 9.5 inches tall x 5.5 inches wide. In very good condition with no known defects.
Nicolasa made traditional blackware most of her life. The symbol of the Avanyu Serpent is well known in the Pueblo community as a bringer of rain. less
